Students with Disabilities:
The half-day program reserves 50% of its seats for students with disabilities, who participate at no charge. Peer models (students without special needs) are eligible to participate for $4,000 per year. The full day program is open to both students with and without disabilities at a rate of $8,000 per year (prorated to 50% for students with disabilities).
Income Eligible Students:
Limited, reduced-tuition spaces are available to families with verified income eligibility (i.e. by providing W2 records or pay stubs). These (18) spaces are subsidized by the CT Office of Early Childhood’s School Readiness Grant. Information on reduced rates can be found at this link, then:
1. Click “Family Fee Calculator” on the top left
2. Click “Open Family Fee Calculator” in purple in the center top of the screen.
3. Enter the total number of people living in the house.
4. Enter the annual household income from all income sources in the home.
5. Choose “Current” for fee schedule, “Preschool” for age group, and “School-Time
Care” for Contract Space Type.
6. Once you type “Calculate”, if the annual fee listed is less than $8,000, you may
qualify for a reduced rate.
Families who believe they qualify can contact Dr. Briere at 860-228-2577 for more information prior to the annual lottery or at any time during the school year.
Tuition:
Families will receive an email in August with a link to register for MySchoolBucks which will be the primary method to receive monthly invoices.
Although MySchoolBucks will process credit card payments, the district discourages use of credit card payments through MySchoolBucks as the processing fee is very high.
Tuition can be paid on the
MySchoolBucks
website through automatic ACH payment for a fee of $12.95 per year (by signing up for
OnePay
). Payments can also be made by cash or check (made payable to Hebron Public Schools) delivered to Hebron Public Schools central office (located right at Gilead Hill Elementary School, 580 Gilead Street, Hebron, CT 06248).
Tuition is paid in 10 installments due on the 20th of each month, beginning in August and ending in May. Tuition installments must be paid prior to the start of each month to ensure participation in the program. Failure to pay may result in your child being unenrolled from the program.
